About The Event
Our “Everyone deserves the opportunity to try” philosophy, encourages our participants to try new experiences to gain self-confidence, personal growth and create friendships while working as a team and increase personal independence in a safe and fun environment.
A blend of adventure-based activities, team building exercises and holistic style practices, will challenge you to explore your limits, help build resilience, enhance confidence and gain new self-regulating skills, leaving you with all the tools you need to live the life you deserve and desire.
- All our camps are eligible for NDIS funding ($50 deposit on booking, remainder invoiced on completion of camp)
- All food, accommodation and activity equipment included in camp price.

MINIMUM PARTICIPANT ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Climb a 4-stair step ladder (with assistance)
- Climb into a canoe at ground level (with assistance)
- Walk on uneven ground (with assistance)
- Shower, toilet, eat independently
*Once your ticket has been purchased, we will be in touch regarding individual risk assessments
WHAT IS SUPPLIED ON CAMP FOR PARTICIPANTS:
- 2 nights shared accommodation (single bed) in a gender allocated dorm setting
- 5 x healthy, nutritional and delicious main meals
- Daily morning / afternoon tea
- Welcome fruit and snacks
- Water top up stations
- Marshmallows, hot chocolate / cacao (night-time campfire)
- 5 fun adventure-based activities (including all equipment needed)
- Empowerment Adventures journal, pen, water bottle and wrist band (to keep)
- Yoga mat / meditation cushion
- Sunscreen / Insect repellent
- Highly experienced and passionate camp leaders
WHAT TO BRING / PACKING LIST FOR PARTICIPANT:
* A detailed packing list will be emailed to you once your camp ticket has been purchased
- Bedding items – fitted bed sheet, pillow, sleeping bag or sheet
- Clothing items
- Water bottle
- Toiletries
- Towel
- Swimmers
- Hat
- Medication (if required)
MOBILE PHONES AND DEVICES:
Empowerment Adventures invite you to disconnect from the virtual world and reconnect with nature and yourself. We encourage you to leave your mobile phone and devices at home and take this opportunity to soak up the surroundings and experiences. Empowerment Adventures will always have a phone on hand for any emergency, this number will be available to you and your carer or parent. You will not need your mobile phone or devices during camp. A professional photographer will be on site capturing the days moments, experiences and activities. These photos will be available for you to access after the camp. If you need to bring a mobile phone due to personal or medical reasons, please notify Empowerment Adventures prior to the camp.
